Installed the steering wheel off of a WJ Overland. Feels different in the hand, functionally and fit the same as the KJ wheel. Not sure I will keep it here, the wood grain just doesn't match the rest of my silver trim.

Maybe if that section were silver?

I'll run it for awhile but it might make its way onto the CRD MJ since I have a matching wood grain dash bezel.

I'd be interested in exploring the option based on how it feels Vs how a leather skinned top section wears out.

I like the perforated leather section better for sure. I think the top section being silver would look classy with my interior trim in silver.

Finding a nice wheel at a junkyard can be a challenge too.

How hard a swap was that? With cruise and radio controls and all?

WWDiesel, what cover did you get?

Got a two tone gray one from Autozone that matches interior color.
Fits very tight and is has real nice comfortable grip and feel to it.

I've got wheelskins on both my vehicles. I like them a lot.

You could always try re-covering the wheel in new leather.

Old wheel was in good condition, this one is just cooler.

Now to figure out how to swap over that faux wood from the dash and doors, and the overland badging, you'd really blow folks' mind.

Took less than 15 minutes to swap in the driveway.Swapped the rear plastic with radio buttons and my cruise buttons on the the WJ wheel, then used my KJ airbag.

Very quick very easy.

You need a gear puller to get the wheel off however.
