Just a quick question to make sure, once the in tank pump is installed, you will no longer need to bleed the fuel head or is that incorrect?

Yes, you should no longer need to bleed the fuel system. And Sasquatch's harness cuts the time down to just a few hours.

Hi all, I did this mod using sasquatch harness. After reattaching fuel tank and wiring I believe the fuel system is working. I could hear the pump working and was able to start the car a couple times. However, when I start it my abs and traction lights were on. It started a couple times and now it just cuts off when turning to start. Any ideas what I need to check ? Thanks

If you did the swap with the battery connected, meaning the ABS portion of the harness was unplugged while battery voltage was present, it will throw an ABS code. The ABS code will not clear until everything is correct again AND the vehicle has been driven a bit. Mine only has to move about 50' to clear the ABS code after working on it.

I am assuming this is just an 06 issue and does not affect 05's? Correct?

Yes, that is probably only for 2006. 2005s did not have traction control did they? I have only owned 2006 CRDs.

Thanks, this is how it turned out.
After completing this job the jeep seems to be running well.
One thing that did happen is some debris (rodent feces) got knocked into the fuel tank , causing me to need to get the tank clenaed. Before I had tank cleaned I pumped the fuel into container. It was about 4-5 gallons.
Can I somehow filter and use this fuel?

Works good for cleaning parts, as long as you keep it off your skin.

Better than light solvents, as it doesn't lift protective oils out of your parts.

The Precision brand pump from O'Reillys puts out 6.5 psi. I can not find the amps it draws. Is anyone concerned about the pumps they are using that are putting out 10 plus psi and drawing more than 10 amps on the 10 amp fuel circuit?

I would return the precision pump... Lots of problems, the last place I worked we did lots of o crappies parts... And lots of warranties, I replaced 3 failed pumps my last month alone... Get a carter, it's a much better unit.

to answer a question above from several months ago. You can get a filter that filters diesel and separates water from it too that looks similar to a regular funnel, I think the one I have came from tractor supply.
