I checked the voltages all the way to the bulb holder, both by using negative battery terminal as ground as well as chassis, i am not getting voltage to these connections, it's not the bulbs, i swapped out bulbs, same issue .I traced wires back, doesn't seem to be any breaks in the wires. I am thinking yet hoping it's not the BCM. I also noticed I am not getting power to the license plate bulb, I am not sure if it's connected to the other bulb issue or not.
What year is it, what model? US or export? Your location? All makes a difference on the wiring diagrams.
Have you looked at the wiring diagrams?
According to the 05 WD, there is one ground for each side front headlights, so if low beam works, the ground should be good.
But they do have separate fuses for each left and right high and low beams. Have you checked all the fuses with a test light. Can't always look at a fuse and tell if it is good or bad.
Fuse 26 & 27 for high beams (10amp)
Fuse 4 & 5 for low beams (10amp)
I would suspect a fuse or bad connection somewhere before thinking BCM due to the fact that if one side HB comes on, the control circuit is functioning correctly as there is only one relay for high beams and one for low beams. So if one HB comes on, the stalk switch / control circuits are operating the relay correctly.
But these things do have some screwy wiring.....
