According to jeep that should be just fine for depth of water treading. Funny...

Looks to me like you can go though that if you don't stop. You may get some water inside but I don't see any reason you can't make it.

The vehicle may have been abandoned or even moved by rushing watter.

Maybe not rushing water rated, but sure enough can cross rushing water, but not fast rushing water. No regular SUV could handle fast rushing water. Time to build a swamp buggy.

Speaking of floods you guys should be around the DC Northern VA area right now. I think I am going to start builing an ark.

I'll bet it is soaked up there. It's been raining here in VA Beach since Saturday and we're not even in the middle of the band of storms. It just doesn't stop!!! My coworkers were wondering if maybe our company moved us to Seattle over the weekend without telling us.

It's nuts up here in NEPA as well. Driving home from work last night I hit a lot of "puddles" that had to be 12" deep. It hasn't stopped raining yet.

2 good things, so far, have come out of hitting these puddles at 30+mph...

1) The Pirella Scorpions ATs stuck like freaking glue. Not even the slightest hint of hydroplaining.

2) It might have actually chiseled off some of the 500lbs of mud baked onto my undercarriage.

So for something like this I'll need a Unimog, right? Oh well. Forget about the SFA conversion then, my next toy budget is gonna be for a Unimog.

Actually I'm somewhat serious :) I might relocate to an area that's known for hurricanes ...

Belive it or not flooding is one reason I got the lift. Houston is known to get pretty bad even without hurricanes.

That and it makes it easier to change the oil.
