I purchased a non running 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD a few months ago. With the help of this forum (I'm a newbie) I've got it up and running great. Compression Test, Cam Sensor, Crank Sensor, MAP Sensor, Front Control Module, Timing Belt and Motor Mounts. It had a partially completed EGR delete done on it which I completed. I then installed Nick's 811 EGR/FCV tune which turned off the Check Engine Light. My next hurdle is trying to get it to pass Emissions. I live in Phoenix and Emissions is required. I have not been able to find much information regarding Emissions and EGR delete. I used my Torque OBD2 app a couple of days ago to clear a couple of codes that popped up while replacing the timing belt. Today I checked Emissions Readiness and it shows the EGR status as Incomplete. My question is, will this code remain due to the EGR delete or will it eventually clear itself. I was also confused with the category System Type: Spark
I ran VW TDI's for many years and to be honest I can't remember if they even plugged into the OBD port when taking it to Emissions. Any feedback would be appreciated.
