Take your time, label every bolt/screw you remove, organize them in baggies by sections as you remove them.
Take lots of pictures so you can refer back to them when reassembling.
There are some good Youtube videos you can watch to get some pointers.
Just search on Youtube for Jeep Liberty heater core replacement. :google:

Im not sure what I’m supposed to take off here. The left side or the hoses with the foil around it. Image

I took them off and I’m stuck on how to take off the heater core. Do I have to move back the heater box?

I am trying to put off the failed heater core I have... I finally got another Jeep ready to sell and my wife got it detailed up, left it in the shop over the weekend and when we came back Monday there was a puddle of coolant under it so I crawled under it and found it needed a heater core... that was 6 months ago, it will get done one of these days so I can finally get it sold....

I do not blame you for putting it off. It has been a real pain. I had a better time installing my turbo!

I can’t take off the hooks without breaking them. I also saw that the new heater core doesn’t have anywhere for the hooks to grab on to.

The only ones I have pulled were on 2 rusty jeeps I completely parted out.
Hopefully the videos or write ups online will help
