I recall Chris mentioning the possibility of going to Rausch Creek this month. If that's the case then I'm in, but I need to know so I can put in for the time off from work. So what do ya'll say we go there this month for a change?

Done! I am in! And the good thing about RC, it has bypasses on all the tough obstacles so you should have no prob with the Rubi!

Seriously, I think RC is a bit more "club friendly" with the trails having bypasses so you can run variously modified rigs together.

Edit: Doh! Just checked the schedule. If it's the 3rd Sat, I am out. Sorry! How about the 22nd??

I like the fact that the ATV's have their own park! This may be doable so far I'm off the15th! I can bring both my tow straps and a come-a-long for the Rubicon! Joe :-)r

I will have to join in on this ride. The new tow strap is already packed.

Tough group, eh Chris! Put me on the maybe list. I'll be returning from a convention in Fl. that Friday, and have a charter club work day planned for PAP with DeJa on the 17th. Last weekend at Rausch we ran all blacks, and with the 34-10.5-15 TSL's my gearing is a little high. I need to throw a few blues in to give my clutch a rest (Chris and I can take the bypasses  ).

:( Well my bypass is going to have pavement on it. As much as I would like to run at RC I am going to have to step down due to the fact that my Rubi will not be trail ready (as far as skids go). I would rather miss a ride than pay 3k for a new tranny or bust the power steering housing that sets under the bumper. You would have thought that this thing would have come ready to rock out of the box. It is going to take at least a month to get it set up for the hard stuff and I am running short on time. In total I need 3 skids right now and than the diff guards. :(

So far then we have Joe and Jason as definites for the 15th and Mike and Randy as maybe. I'm going to request off the 15th then. Who's going to e-mail Lynn and let her know we'll be coming?

I have e-mailed Lynn and a quick check of the calendar reveiled that you will be in the company of some Land Rovers.

I'm still trying to convince the wife I should go, but now I have a question. If I come, what level trails are you guys considering? The reason I ask is so I can decide whether to bring the Libby or break in the new Unlimited. It just needs an oil pan skid. It's got the trans and gas skids. And those stupid Wrangler GS/A's for now.

Are we still on for this? Nobody has posted here in a while. Is everyone planning on meeting at the park or somewhere else first? If you want to meet prior, I would suggest the Exxon at the exit south of the Rausch Creek exit on I-81. It's also a truck stop and restaurant so we could get breakfast too if we want. Also, what time are we supposed to be at Rausch Creek?

I'm bringing the KJ, the LJ needs a couple more skids before she can come out and play. By the way, I think the word you are looking for is traitor.

I'm skipping this month but I'll be out in August. I cut all the metal for my rock rails. My buddy and I are welding them this sat. I'd rather have them on before I hit one of the parks again.

So what time and place are we meeting guys?

On a side note, I was on Rausch Creek's site the other day and found out they are in the process of clearing trails on another 700 acre property adjacent to the east property. So far they have only cleared a green trail that loops through the property. If anybody is interested, we could probably set up a date later this year to help clear some trails there. I think they might discount the park entry fees for us if we did this. It might be a fun way to get some wheeling in and help out fellow offroaders.

Dave all others,

I really hate to do this. But I have to cancel. I discovered I have three bad ball joints last night. I have to get this fixed before I go punishing the Jeep on trails. If one as to go on a trail deep in the woods we would be in a heap of crap.

The front seemed a little loose over the last two weeks. Not to mention I have been hearing this strange noise under the front since GWNF. After I checked for loose bolts and had the alignment checked it was still there. Then I check the joints and low and behold I have over a 1/4" play in the drivers lower and 3/16" in the passenger lower plus one of the uppers as a torn boot and is leaking.

Sorry I have to bail out. But I need to get this fixed first. Hopefully we can plan another monthly run at Rausuh soon.

Jason

As it looks like there isn't enough people for a trail ride let's figure on maybe next month! Joe :?:
