Hello everyone,

It seems that the 2006 CRD has hard to find power steering hoses.

I actually managed to find a local junk yard that had an 06, however the hoses have the same problem as mine:

The nut retaining the line going to the power steering pump rusts and fuses to it. If i try to remove it by unscrewing it, it just damages the lines.

Is it not possible we could get someone to manufacture these for us?

I have a couple of companies in mind..

What do you guys think?

I feel like power steering hoses are an obvious consumable item that we will all have to replace at some point...

I think that is a great idea, if you can find someone who will do it for a reasonable price. I just went through this on my fairly rusty ‘06.

I started a thread on it, which may be worth reading. Long story short, I wound up having a shop make up a simple hose and so far it has worked fine.
