I searched around and didn't see what I was looking for..

Does anyone know, or has anyone done... Putting in a newer transmission from a Hemi? Like a 2010 Dodge Durango??? And if so, what fits??? It is my understanding that they have the updated pump, a stronger torque converter(with a low stall like our crds). So, if I am understanding it correctly, it should be plug and play. And way cheaper than buying a front pump, new T/C. I would think a person may still want to do the shift kit...?

Let me know. Thanks.

What I have read.
Any 545RFE will bolt up to the Jeep Liberty.
Later models used a different solenoid pack that is NOT compatible with the 05-06 model electronics. (TCM?)
So you have to remove your solenoid pack from your current tranny and install it in any newer 545RFE you purchase.
They are identified by their color.

As to torque converters; gassers TC's have different stall speed profiles than TC's designed for diesels.
While they will work, they are not near as efficient as the much lower stall speed diesel TC's.

While I am no expert in this areas, the above is just what some others have posted over the years on the subjects.
If I was doing this, I would talk to a transmission expert at a transmission shop and seek out their advice, it might save you a lot of money and headaches.
