Hey guys. I recently bought a 2005 Liberty. When I picked it up I noticed the floors are damp. Thought it was just the location of the PO, as they lived in a heavily wooded area, even though it hadn’t rained in a while it was just damp.
Anyway, I noticed the other day the the passenger side and driver side tubs are wet. We have had quite a bit if rain over the past week, but this should not be as wet as it is. It is pretty much soaked.
Any thoughts?
I know it could be window seals, but I don’t think it is. The window seal looks good. Maybe some weep or drains plugged up? PO lived in a stand of pines.
Does it have a Sunroof?
If so, there are four small drains, one each in each corner of the Sunroof opening that if they get stopped up, will allow water to drain into the cabin floor. See drawing
Most times, they can be blown out and cleaned out using compressed air with a nozzle.
I had to unstop mine with I first got my Jeep back in 2013; water was dripping into the left floor everytime we had a hard rain.
