Being a Newbie to the Jeep scene since last spring, I love the look of your ride!!! I like the plain wheels rather than the idea of painting. I agree, a gloss would look pretty good though.
Once again, I am a Newbie, so I have a few quick questions for you.........what are MOABS, are they just the stock wheels from a Rubicon? Also, would your new Grabbers 245/75/16E's fit the stock Liberty wheels or would a person have to downsize? I assume the AT's are for year round use? I love the look, such a simple thing as replacing tires when needed to really beef up the look of the KJ. I am considering the Grabbers when my current tires need replacing. Thanks for your help!!
No worries, happy to help, and I think you will find most of the guys on here are. I've learned TONS here.
I like the wheels as they are now. I got complimented on the combination. The pics look good, but man it looks sooo much better in person. I am thoroughly happy with these tires. They are heavy though, and I have noticed a drop in MPG and power, but nothing I can't live with.
Moabs are the name of the wheels used on the Rubicon. They are very popular with JK's because they fit just fine but are much wider, and give y ou that spread out, aggressive stance. They also say "jeep" on the center cap, and that is always nice. Just a nice, wide, aggressive wheel.
Those tires will fit the wheel just fine, however the question is would the tires fit under your Lib? If you havent lifted, I would say no. Downsize to 70 series...but even then I don't know. I am getting a little bit of rubbing now at full lock. I am going to pound my pinch welds this weekend and heatgun the fog light door. Easy fixes.
These are pretty much the most aggressive all terrain Ive seen. A lot of AT's just look like pissed off passenger tires. Grabbers look similar to BFG AT KO's, but I have heard bad things about them, and they certainly are overpriced. YOu can get these for about half as much.
Other than that, good luck and message with any questions you might have.
