Fog Lights, Back-up cam/GPS & CB antenna

Here are some pictures of the recent installs I have made. (update)And now you can see the pictures!

PIAA 520's

These irritated me a bit I wanted them to mount inside the bumper but this will work until I can get the PIAA 510's which will fit. So I made a bracket with 2 holes one of which mounts thru a hole I drilled in the metal above the factory hole and the other to holds the light. The wires are run through a hole drilled in the firewall just to the left of the throttle cable. The 510's will mount in the hole where the brackets for the temp lights bolt and will fit right inside the bumper. I will update when this is done.

Back-up cam/GPS

This was easy! the GPS attaches to the windshield via suction cup and the camera is one of those license plate mounted ones that I drilled holes in the bumper and mounted from behind since the license plate is off center. The wire attaches to the pos wire on the pass side backup light.

CB Antenna

This is a Larson. I decided to go with a NMO mount because it was smaller and less obtrusive then a firestick style antenna. I bent and tweaked the fender mount until it fit the contours of the jeep then I used self tapping phillips screws to attach. I did however have to shave the taillight a bit with a dremel tool to get the light to mount flush again.

I like that antenna placement. If I get braver (and better) at this stuff, I may have to try to play with that location.
Your lights mounted up front like that... I look at that and just can't help thinking that a minor fender-bender is going to be very expensive.

That is a temporary solution until I can get the PIAA 510's which are about 2" smaller in diameter and will fit nicely. But your right those are a little exposed. I needed something now since I will be traveling over Vail pass in a few days and will not get the other lights in time.

Nice job!
The backup cam is really thinking outside the box (to my way of thinking anyway), and the antenna mount is super!
The lights... well, you're working that still.

So let me tweak your brain for a bit... how come you haven't fabbed a mount for the gps? My windshield mount lets go if the weather gets warm, so I'm treated to fishing it off the floor, cleaning off the dust, and having to remount it. I keep thinking there must be a mount that can be swung up for use, and back down (or out of the way) for times when I don't want to invite a 'smash and grab'.

Ok I'm curious about your tow points...lol. I have the same rv hookups on my jeep. Do you have/or know anything that fits into them for tow hooks? I want to take mine wheelin but my club has a mandatory list and front and rear tow points are on that list. Just curious.
