Just fitted this new Australian made bar over the weekend. It's airbag tested and complies with design rules for down under, which is important for our strict rules and insurance cover. Might be too early for any plans to distribute the bars in the US, but thought this may be of interest for those not familiar with it.

I like that bumper but it just seems like its sticking out for miles in front of the KK is there not another way to have a winch enclosed? I guess you could mount it on top and shorten it a bit.

It does look huge sitting out front I wonder if they make one with a front hitch set up so you could use a porta winch?

I just had my Uneek4x4 bar and winch fitted this weekend also. I'm extremely happy with it.

Whats going on with those sliders with the plastic rocker panels removed? I've been thinking of building something similar.

Been thinking about removing those panels lately and would love to replace them with something useful.

I had a set of sliders made up and we decided to remove the plastic panels and mount them in their place.

Really happpy with how strong they are. I've sat them on a few rocks and used them as a Hi-Lift jacking point when changing tyres and never had an issue with them.

Wow those are nice. Its like two sets of sliders, one under the pinch seam and one protecting the doors.

This is what i'm looking to do with mine when I get to building them. however im going with 2x2 square tubing and then the round rail.

I saw your thread on those sliders and your build updates on ausjeeps just the other day. you've got a mean KK and I wish they would of let the U.S. play with those lovely CRDs I've seen vids of them crawling some crazy stuff even stock

I do have a quick question about those rails though.

When the door is open are you able to use them as a step to enter the vehicle? Is there enough rail showing to stand on?

Thank you very much. I too wish I had a diesel somedays but sadly my baby's a thirsty petrol.

hmmmm not comfortably, they are too close to the vehicle to really be used as a daily side-step and the top of the rail sits about flush with the bottom of the angled door jam area making it awkward to put your foot flat across it.

Cool that was exactly the pic I was looking for. Thanks! It looks like you may have a little bit of a lip to get a toe up but these are not build as a side step and thats perfect!

Does that marker on the fender, close to the hood, light up or is it just a reflector?

They light up, it's a euro thing.

I think we may have derailed this thread a bit lol

I suspect most or all export Libertys (Cherokees) have the side indicator repeaters, even the South African Jeeps got them. We don't get the lit up front corner markers though, they're just reflectors.

The mob that made the steel bumper in this thread also have KK sliders in the pipeline, these will apparently be based on their JK sets. They'll have a better step on them than Mik's, I just hope they're as tough.

Sorry, hijacked my own thread.

Those things are awesome. Now if they could address the replacement of that plastic rocker panel along with those sliders that would be a win.
