Could some people post photos of their stock KJ going through some trails? I have found a KJ locally that I want, just want to make sure it will do what I want before I pick it up..

Thanks
Joe

In the first image I still had the original tires; in the next two I had upgraded to Yokohama Geolanders (235-75R16s). The only other mods I had at the time were the front receiver hitch and an engine skid. Didn't even have the BoulderBars on...

A stock KJ is surprisingly capable off-road, but then what do you expect from a Jeep?

to see pictures of a stock KJ on a trail will not tell what it can do but only show you what others have done
i can post up pics of us taking a properly equipted KJ down trails that are reserved for "modified rigs only" and other than a few scratches on the skids no problems and properly equpited means full skids any brand of mud tire and a set of rocksliders
keep in mind that when it comes to driving off road it is about 75% driver/spotter and the rest rig the only way you would know if a kj will fit the bill is to buy one and then modify as needed
but here are a few pics of stock KJs

here is a great example of what i mean about driver/spotter
this bronco is on the wrong line he is running 40" boggers and locked in the rear
Image
he did not make it but rather took a strap

this is the right line
this KJ is lifted with 245/75 goodyear mt/r's and open front and rear
Image

Image
he made it no problem almost no wheel spin and no reverse at all

if you had seen it in person it would be hard to belive
i have been on both lines and nearly rolled my TJ on the wrong line but once i learned the right line i could run it with no spotter and no wheel spin
i am locked in the front LSD in the rear

heres one from bone stock. The stock KJ will pretty much keep up with just about anything you just have to be really careful on which lines you take when you're on the trail.

I took my stock renegade through everything on the northeast memorial day 2005 trip as well as the snow-run earlier this year (ended up being more mud). It is capable of doing plenty, just make sure you get recovery points and skid plates/ rock rails for protection. The KJ has low ground clearance, so those plates are vital for anything you could potentially hit bottom on.

I don't have pictures but I can tell you my totally stock '05 Sport rolled some pretty decent trails here in Arizona: Box Canyon, Broken Arrow, Back Road to Crown King. That last one had three full-size trucks break in front of the group I was a part of.

Of course there are places a stock Liberty just won't go but if you're patient and pick good lines and don't stand on the skinny pedal you (and anyone around you) will be amazed at what a stock Liberty can do!
