Who is up for a run around the Natural Bridges area in the Daniel Boone National Forest? It's located near Slade KY, which is just a little southwest of Lexington.

We will be hitting up some Forest Roads, so that mean the wheeling will be free and we will do more than just drive around in a circles. I've never been to the area, but I'm going to get some maps and do a little scouting the day before since I will be camping out Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Also if anyone want to join me camping you are more than welcome.

I can't make that weekend due to a fishing trip, but let me know if you want to go scout the prior weekend (since it looks like it's only 3 hrs). I'd also be interested in a second run if you go again.

I'm looking for a trip over my Fall Break (October 14-22) and am thinking of touring through Daniel Boone Forest and the Slade area and then trekking down into Murphy,North Carolina and Chattanooga, TN area. Anyone interested in possibly meeting up or giving me more info or sending me to a place where I can get more info on riding in that/those areas?

Okay guys here we go. Let's meet at the Shell Station in Slade, KY at 1000 EST. Make sure you are gassed up or at least 1/2 tank, because we will be putting on quite a few trail miles. No driving around in circles like off road parks.

Natural Bridge Shell
12187 Campton Rd, Stanton, KY (<-- Really Slade, NOT Stanton)
(606) 663-4100
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=en&q ... 8129181522

(NOTE: The address say Stanton for an unknown reason. It is NOT in Stanton. It is really in Slade. Do not stop in Stanton, continue on to Slade). Slade is a tiny town so once you get there it will be easy to find. It is at the intersection of US 11 and US 15 in Slade. If you get lost give me a call.

I will be bringing a Portable Grill and some hot dogs. Jason, you and your friend can bring some chips, drinks, deserts or whatever else you would like.

Ed

Any plans for a Sunday run? I'll be at Badlands on Saturday and if you're going to do a Sunday run I can do that. Looks like a great place from the pre-run pics and I'd like to get on the trails before they permanently close.

I've never been to the badlands, but this place rocks! Make sure to run it before it closes...

Sorry I'm not planning on having a Sunday run. I'm probably going to be heading home early Sunday afternoon anyways. You are more than welcome to join us on Saturday if you want. I'd also like to take another trip down there later this summer, but that depends on the trail status.

Well, I'll try to catch the run later this summer. Hopefully the trails will still be open. Have a good run.
