I was at the Fair yesterday and I got a good look at the new 4dr Wrangler, It looked like a pre-production model. I like it a lot. It had the hard top on it. The one thing that I could not figure out was how the rear glass opens without hitting the spare tire, The tire was mounted on the door, not on a swing away frame and the window glass comes down pretty far behind the tire. They also had a 2007 2 Dr Wrangler that looked like a production model, it had the window sticker on it and a soft top. They also had a Nitro there so I checked it out to get an idea where the extra room was added, it looks like the back seat and the rear storage area are bigger than the current KJ. Unfortunately we forgot the camera so I do not have any pics.

Did you get to sit in the Nitro? Was there more leg room in the drivers seat? I drove a grand cherokee this weekend and am thinking about steping up, but I'd really like to wait for the next generation Liberty before I make a move.

the spare wings away with the rear gate... the rear glass opens AFTER the gate swings open... just like the current TJ's

There is even more room in the '05-'06 Liberty. Not much more but noticeable. I rented an '04 before buying the '06 and the big complaint I had was not being able to find a place for my feet. Not been a problem with the '06.

I read in one of the auto mags. that there will be a 2wd wrangler Yes, I do own a 2wd Kj but the thing is mall/ soccor rated for crying out loud. I cannot imagine what purpose a 2wd wrangler would meet.

Just picture it with 24s, chrome everywhere on it ..........all blinged outI can see them coming down the street now
