I went from stock GY's to Coopers Discovery M+S 235's. After the 1st year, I sorta just stopped check MPG as it was always a depressing event. All I can say now is I've taken out the K&N filter and I'm getting about 12 city. Last 2 tanks now, I went about 220 miles to the tank. Took just over 17 gals to fill up. It's running fine but has 40k and has had no work other then oil and recalls. It's going back to the dealer by the end of next week. 3 years ago, we went in for a new minivan and drove off in a KJ. I'm going today to pick up a 07 Town-n-Country touring. Gonna miss the Jeep but with a family of 5, it was too small. I've still got a 93 Plymouth minivan and a Honda Accord but find having another minivan will be nice. I'm sure as soon as I do turn it in, we will have the mother of all winter snowstorms up here and I'll be kicking myself in the rear for turning it in so soon...
Edit: Well, the KJ is no more. I'll miss the stiff/rough ride around town. Getting old so I need a cushy ride

and I'll miss being able to park something in my garage that didn't require some major moving of stuff around to make it fit. I had a LHS before and it was a tight fight. Now the LWD T&C would be tight too. But.. all is not lost.. I put a Trail Rated badge on the back of my 93 voyager so I'm sure now, it can go anywhere wearing a badge of confidence.

.. Just having a heck of time finding rock rails

. Maybe I should just wield some angle iron on the bottom

For the record, 41k miles, nothing more then oil changes was all it needed (plus 2 windshields and 2 recalls, 1 set of tires). It was a pretty good vehicle. I never got use to it's odd shifting tranny or it's gas mileage. Maybe when the kids are gone a might end up with another KJ or something like it but I can assure you I will not buy a compass.. They are just too butt ugly, even with a jeep grill.. take care
