Simple question. On all the shows on Power Block Trucks!, Extreame etc. They all use Royal Purple Everything. Is it really worth the hype or are they just sponsered?

Royal Purple Is good stuff but I am sure they are sponsored so they are biased.
Redline makes some great fluids too. I would say that the synthetic fluids on the market are basically the same and all good stuff but not as good as Amsoil.

RP, is good, but definitely a sponsor. I'm using Mobile 1, but am going to switch to Amsoil on my next change.

Check out 4x4oil.com

The guy that runs that site is a local Amsoil dealer, a fellow Jeeper and his customer service is outstanding.

I recently bought some service manuals from him...really good guy. sent along an amsoil catalog with the manuals. I've been using MobileOne Synthetic but i'm planning on amsoil in my next oil change.

I used to run amsoil all the time. Great stuff I have nothing bad to say about it. Then I landed a job at a factory building high end (read offshore racing, military, and commercial) stern drives. We make the best parts on the market. Period. So what oil do they use and recommend (gets shipped with each drive)? Royal Purple. It is every bit as good as AmsOil. I now run it in my Jeep because I get a discount on it at work.

Do I notice a horsepower difference? Nope. Do I notice better fuel economy? Nope. Does the stuff come out clean and looking new after every oil change? Yes it does. That means it's not breaking down. AmsOil is the same way and I have a buddy who is a rep for AmsOil. Don't believe the fairy tale horsepower and fuel economy BS the shows tell you-buy it for the longevity of your engine and easier starts in sub-zero weather.
