So i was messin around in my jeep today and i accidentally broke the wiper switch on the right side of the steering wheel... i tried pulling it apart to see if i could fit it back together but i could see broken plastic. So... can this be baught seperately or am i going to have to buy a whole new setup?

I think i am going to try a local junk yard also. Maybe they would sell me one.

Has anyone taken theirs apart to see if maybe it could be glued back to gether or something? Can i even replace just that switch part or it it all one piece?

thanks,

-Nick :(

EDIT - Here is the part i need.
Image

The right switch is whats broken but i highly doubt that they would sell just that part... Darn.

ok Well i just ordered one from my local dealer. Part number 56010126AD. About 40 bucks plus tax. So not as bad a i thought it would be. Now i just need to figure out how to take the steering wheel apart.

Has anyone taken their steering wheel apart? It looks like this piece just slides right into place once that cover is pulled off from behind the wheel.

swiching out the comination switch isn't too bad. It's been a while but after disconnecting the battery, remove the two bolts on the backside of the steering column. The plastic top and bottom that covers the steering column should now be loose, remove the top peice. Disconnect two wire harnesses, pull the combination switch a little out and up. Connect the wires to the new one, slide it into place, and close up. Here's a like to the mopar fog light instillation instructions from JeepJK.com, page 5&6 has the diagrams for replacing the combination switch.

The two screws are on the bottom of the steering column, They are torx head. I had a time getting my driver to line up with them. They are way up in there, a torx driver is what you need.
