I have three choices:

1) Order, wait, and be happy when the parts do come in.
2) Order, complain about the timeframe, and be happy when the parts finally come in.
3) Never order and complain because there’s a limited market for KJ parts, and own a jeep that I’m not totally happy with.

I choose option (1). It seems to be the logical option for me. I’m so happy with my RL products that I’m having Marty make me a custom roof rack for my KJ. There’s one thing that I have learned in life: “Complaining brings on misery and misery loves company.”

good idea. But based on lack of response to emails ect with my own order I don't know how much it would help.

When I ordered there nothing but praise for RL. It seems like nobody was able to post negative dealings. At least now people are allowed to hear how some orders have gone bad.
Also, on your option 1 some have had order pay wait and then not be happy with quality.
Again this thread is to help let people make informed decisions, when looking to order.

I would like to hear from those who say the quality was bad.

I agree that we should help others make a more informed decision; however, it can't be a one-sided thread. I've spent more money on RL products than probably 99% of the people on this forum and my experiences have only been positive. Yes, I've had to wait on certain RL products for as long as two years. Yes, I have received all of my RL products and have been extremely happy with the fitment and quality. Due to Rick Lizard’s high quality and ability to customize my order, I am in the midst of ordering another product from RL. For those who are upset for paying and not receiving your order, why not refrain from paying until your part is ready to be shipped out? Just put your name on the list and wait like everyone else. :2cents:

I was told only prepay was offered. My skinks do not fit properly. I have posted this here and before. I do not post others stories. I have though read that others have had similar issues.
Again when I ordered I only read praise. Good service good product. I expected that, but that was not my experience.

Not trying to insult you, but where they installed properly? I've never seen or heard of any having fitment issues. I know sometimes it takes him a little longer because he usually test fits everything and if he doesnt like even a slight little problem with it he will scrap it and start again.

Glad you have so much amazing insight to rock lizard. Clearly they were installed wrong because rock lizard never makes mistakes.

I was only asking a question, didnt realize that would upset you so much, especially since it wasn't directed at you. Jayme why don't you just lock this down seeing as it hasn't been constructive since the first few posts?

Here are my quality issues. I have roof rack and rear bumper. Roof rack rear mounting holes did not line up so I had to drill out the hole to fit. My rear bumper grease zerks (3 of the 4) ripped out on the first time I used the grease gun on them. I can't drill out the hole to retread them due to the bearing races being behind the holes. Doesn't seem like a good spot for them to begin with. Other than that the bumper fit properly.

Should get it around Christmas. When you do post up pictures. It could have been a rush job...

Since you have such a good memory. Bet you you remember how Vicki had to drive to colorodo and the bumper didn't fit properly and they were no where near finished with the bumper. It took much longer than said because it didn't fit right at all. And the fact that they had to drive out there to get it says he wasn't in the mood to finish it on time to ship it. But he had all the time in the world to do 2 sfa builds rather than peoples bumpers that were completely paid for. Shotty...

Man. If you think I am envious lol. And ya I'm envious that troy has a sfa kj. So jealous. I have no problem with him. In fact I have spent less money than troy has on doing things to my kj and I own two cars. So see it how you want. And when I said through the grill. It was a straight forward answer. Imagine if you were here before tbj got banned and before Jl got toned down because their answered really would have thrown you over the edge if you think half of this three is upsetting you. People hate tjkj cuz he can be a Richard a lot of the time. Noone really cares what he has. I know I don't. This is about rock lizard and their horrible "ill get to it when I feel like it" business practices. Clearly some shady stuff had gone on. Clearly you (CoopaTroopa) have no idea what you're talking about because you don't know any of the people it impacts. I do. Steve does. Jayme does. And Tom does but he doesn't seem to care.

Point is, why is this vendor even allowed to tarnish this website? Who gives a flying F what he's done in the past. What has he done lately?
