You've probably explained everything elsewhere...but, how are you going to fix your engine? Where's the KJ going? Details, please.

Jeep is going to CJD Automotive on the northside of Jacksonville. I'm going to have to take out a loan to pay for it. My dad is helping me pay for it a little bit, not sure how much, but he said he will pitch in a litte. So I am paying for a majority of it. Oh, and I'm going to have them fix my heater too so it blows hot air, not just warm air. :D

You don't know how pissed I would be if it did.
I'd be ready to set a specific vehicle on fire......

Excellent, dude. Seems like I remember some old fart on here saying "that's what parents do". Good luck.

If you are taking out a loan, see if you can take out another 1k for springs and shocks. Whats a few more payments. You could get tires also.

Good deal. Put that Xmas money you got in it too and what ever your dad offers up, then make sure you pay that loan on time, I'm sure your parents are co-signing for you so they will expect this. Plus it will be a great thing for you to build a good credit rating, something that you will need later in life when you want a new car and a house.

Trust me I grew up poor and my parents had bad credit we couldn't get a lot and the cost of borrowing to get somthing you nedeed and didn't have cash for is horrable when you have bad credit. Being told NO when you wanted to get a car to get to work or a new roof for your house sucks. I vowed I would not be like that when I grew up. Use this to build credit and keep you name good.

I am actually thinking about taking extra out to get a lift. Maybe mantires too.
My dad might be co-signng for me and he has real good credit so that'll help with the loan.

Nah. Only got 240 left over and thats going towards the loan. Just gonna save up 100 per paycheck and get a lift.

The full total was like 5383. Guy charged me 4500 even. Amazing.
Engine its self was 3k. I got an amazingggg deal!

What kind of motor was it, long or a short block. Or did it come out of a junkyard. if so how many miles. Congrats on getting it back so soon.

I don't know what you have on her, but if she's stock naked I'd start with skid plates and recovery points first...then a lift. That way you can wheel immediately without worrying about damaging your drivetrain. Also, you can put individual skid plates on as you can afford them, as well as tow hooks/shackles, and a lift means tires, and they ain't cheap. Just a thought.
