I've never seen a 4x2 Libby. Frankly I'm surprised they even make them, why would you buy a 2 wheel drive jeep?
Just buy a friggin station wagon instead.

Down here in Florida, I'd have to say that 3/4 of the Lib's I see are 4x2. We NEVER have any weather that requires 4WD unless you live off-road (off pavement), which most people don't.

Most of the KJs around here are 2x4s. When I looked for our Renegade, I searched dealer inventories from Pheonix to Dallas and north to Colorado.

More than 80% were 4x2 KJs even the Renegades.

Up here in Washington, I have never seen a 4X2 KJ, or a 2X4 KJ for that matter. I've really only ever seen the 4X4 models. Now I have seen a HUGE amount of new Grand Cherokee's that are 4X2.

Take it easy ya'll,

ADAM

I didn't know they built them in 2 wheel drive. I just assumed they were all 4x4's. You must really love the looks of them to not get one in 4x4...Looks like I need to change my signature.

To me here in Hawaii, it's exciting when I see a 4x4 one that isn't mine. There are a bunch of KJ's where I work, in fact the first Renny I ever took notice to was there, but none of them are 4x4.

Absolutly have never seen a 4x2 here in upstate NY. I have noticed a lot of them when I visit the family in Phoenix. I also noticed that there is a lot higher percentage of Jeeps in general here than in the warmer climates where 4x4 is considered an option you get for use off road and fun.
Here I use 4x4 for daily driving in the winter on the roads. Not nearly as fun as driving my Saturn sedan on the icy roads doing donuts but definitly safer.

Can't wait for winter!

Eh, it's a bit rare to see a 4x2 Jeep around here. Most are 4x4s... an overwhelming percentage of them.

I see about one 4x2 every 2 weeks or so. I too, look to see if *any* Jeep is a 4x4 or not.

When I was in Alabama however, I got excited when I saw a 4x4 Jeep of any kind...... about 2 or 3 of them were from other states.

Since I currently live in Jeep Town (TOLEDO) I see about 95% 4X4s. Real rare to see a 2X4. Over Labor Day had to run over to D.C. and saw about 75% 2X4s, though very interesting. Also noticed that no one waved back! Slowly getting Toledo Libby owners to wave or at least some of them!

Mostly 4x2 around here. I don't under stand why anyone would want a two wheel drive Jeep. :?:

Don't think I have ever seen a 4x2 up here in Canada where I am from...but then again I haven't been looking? But in reality...with 7 months of the year winter if you can afford a KJ you can afford 4 wheel drive.

I dont think ive seen more than a few up here in RI. Too much snow in the winter to get a 4x2 SUV. If your gonna 'enjoy' crappy gas mileage at least be able to have fun in the winter.

When I went shopping at the dealers for my 2003 Liberty Renegade here in southeastern Michigan, most of the vehicles on the lots were 4 x 2. There were no vehicles with Selec Trac. Many buyers don't take the time (or care) that there is a difference. I had to order mine with the Selec Trac and even then the first dealer I talked to was trying to talk me out of it, stating that it was a "very expensive option". It wasn't. The dealer I eventually ordered my Liberty from knew the difference and was more than glad to order anything I wanted.

Yeah that's the same thing I ran into with mine. I have Command-Trac though and it works fine for me. Biggest thing was finding a 4x4. Found some sitting on the lot where I got mine but they were already sold. Even found a CRD too bad it was sold. That's the only CRD I've seen on Oahu so far.
