just that one is chewed, no idea how. probably just from flopping around in the engine bay for 6 years/90k miles.

SHOULD there be a clamp on it and I'm missing it, or just thinking it should be there?

I have a stick. My rev limiter is like 6200. Maybe it's because it's a stick instead of an auto.

It's normal for that vacuum feed line to have no clamp. The vacuum pressure inside the hose helps keep it attached to the fitting while the engine is running, so no hose clamp is necessary. You only need those for hoses that hold pressure (i.e. radiator or AC hoses.)

Not to dig this one up from the graveyard but i thought that i would chime in on my success with seafoam. I poured about a half a can into a cup and started to suck it in within seconds it cut out. Hmm ok well start her back up. I then proceeded to suck in the rest of that without any problems until i wanted to force it stall. It would not no matter how much i gave it. So i just shut it off and wait. Now comes the fun part! 8)

I pushed it outside on the driveway and started it up. Now, i did think about recording it but thought that it would not do anything so i didn't. Well i was wrong. It smoked real good, i was actually quite surprised how much. i let it run for a good while and reved it a bit. I then took a spin around town quick and jumped on the interstate. I am not sure if its just my head but it really seems better. I feel like i get better throttle response and a little better idle.

My only question is that since i did get a good smoke show should i do it again in a few weeks?

well...

That was anti-climatic.

I snapped some shots of the setup.

I sucked almost a full 10oz soup can in. It slowly stalled a few times, but started back up right away.

I waited about 45 minutes.

I setup the video camera.

I started the car.

I waited for white smoke that never came.

I gunned it up to 6k rpm for about 10 seconds and got a couple puffs of white smoke. left it at 6k rpm for 30 more seconds, but no more smoke.

When I let it down from 6k rpm, it idled at exactly 750, when before it was always closer to 1000, and I could not hear a peep from the engine.

Overall, the engine seems smoother and quieter, but no smoke!

Do all KJs have French on the brake fluid caps? I figured that would be on the Canadian/European KJs only?

Sorry for the delay...

That "Glass Tube" is an ANL Fuse holder. I run all the lights and other crap I have installed off on that huge silver wire through a 200amp ANL fuse in that glass thing.

COOL 8) , Well I just tried Seafoam for the first time tried the cup suck trick it kept dying on me finally got it in poured the balance in the tank and let it set for about 10 minutes. Then stared it up and took a little drive. I played Indian for a half a block I sent up smoke signals  . Droe a little more , it seems to have alittle more pep , definitely idles a lot slower. seem to be smoother. Now to do a fill and check milage improvements if any. 8)
