Actually if you do the conversion -40 is the point on the scale where Fahrenheit and Celsius are the same.

well isn't that a odd bit of scientific knowledge. I didn't believe it until I googled up the charts. I think I need to save that tidbit for when I go on Jeopardy!

You guys just gave me a flashback to Christmas Eve 1983 Dayton, Ohio--- 20 below and out of 6 cars & trucks in the family the only one that would start was my non-garaged 69 Nova 6 cyl. God I miss that car! Sure don't miss northern winters though. :D

I was going to say the same thing...

So when it's -40 out in what ever temperature, you'd better be prepared for it!

I had an old dodge truck with a single barrel carb on it, -35 out the carb froze up. gas line antifreeze took care of that.
Even since i have always put some additive in my tank when it gets cold. Now it it power service tho

Warmed up a bit only -17 now but it was in the 30's a few days ago. Glad to have heated parking

From the factory, mine was zip-tied to the oil dipstick. I am driving a CRD though, so I don't know if it'd be in the same place. They give you just enough slack to relocate it to the grill...barely.

I'm really glad I have it too...frosty +52 here at the beach this morning. *brrrr* Man, I miss the snow and the cold.
