It still seems as though your not reading what he posted. I agree the one in the pic is hideous but that's not what we'd be getting. Yes it will probably be a tube style bumper but it will look like whatever you want it to and how you want it. "WE" would decide how it looks!

THANK YOU!!!!

Oh, and it's not 1 person pays $2400...
IF people wanted these, we would do a group buy and divide it out over total # of units to bring the unit cost down.....
MAN, people just don't read!

The only problem I see is they make them out of aluminum, not very strong for offroad abuse(no matter what aluminum used). From the web site it looks like they only make tubular style pushbars and I doubt they will make a whole bumber replacement, they may not have the tooling to make the style bumbers for offroad use.

Oh, I agree. Just thought I'd throw it out there as an option.... Never hurts to look at options!

Options are always nice, makes other make better stuff. Now if they made a pre-runner style bumber it would be good for those that do the urban crawling or light trail use.Just something to make it look more rugged could be cool.

Chris,

THis is something to look into. I am sure if we can all come up with something that will fit the flow of the liberty and look good, it is something that most people on here will get together and dig into the pockets.

true i did miss some of it i reread it again. my fault

anyway yea for $900 something and build it to your specs thats not bad i guess. Still way to much for me to spend on a bumper right now. Plus you'll need 24 people to jump in on this to get it going. Good luck

So can they put together an artists rendering of what they Could come up with based on feedback from this forum w/out dropping any money in advance?

If they were to come up with some incredible design that was truly worthy of the cost they might actually get the buyers to jump in. Based on what I am seeing now though (while they seem to make some decent stuff for other vehicles) I wouldn't even consider a bumper from them for my Jeeps because of the others I have already seen on the market for the KJ.

It is kind of interesting that a couple years ago we pretty much only had the ARB to choose from and now there are a few different designs out there yet we are still looking for more. Yes choices are good but not giving the business to those already making bumpers will just cause them to eventually lose interest in a market that is spread too thin or lacking demand. That is one of the reasons that the All J bumper was dropped. Not enough serious buyers for All J to keep making them.

All good points! :D

Actually I just sort of did this as a "Shoot em an email, see what they say." Type of thing figuring there was no way they would do any custom work. Looks like they actually will and as I said, it's just something to look at.

Just got this email....

Quote:
(My original email):
Presented the concept to my Jeep group. How much say do we have in the actual design? Are we limited to basically a "bumper protector" which goes over a stock bumper (thus sticking out quite a bit) or is your system available as an entire bumper replacement?

(Response):
I will get with my R&D team to see what their thoughts are. They won’t be back in the office until Wednesday but I will give them a call today and see if I can get some ideas to you.
Thanks,

I just think it's kinda cool that if we wanted to, we could "design our own".
For myself, I'm saving up for an RL rear set-up but don't like the idea of trimmin anything up front, so.....
