The latest....
Meineke flat bed trucked my Jeep to a Jeep dealer in Raleigh, even tho the Jeep dealer in Cary said they could fit my Jeep in. Apparently the Meineke guy had a buddy or some crap. The Jeep dealer in Raleigh didn't have the time and only looked at it for 3 hours before they decided that the mud up underneath was too much to determine what was exactly wrong.
Their diagnosis is that the wiring harness for one of the O2 sensors has come apart because of the mud. The mud that has been on the Jeep since Sunday and 300 + miles of me driving it back to Raleigh from Virginia and then driving it to and from work for 2 days waiting to be scheduled in for an appointment.
So, Meineke is claiming that it's not their issue and they want the tow charge reimbursed. Since they still haven't fixed it and I don't trust the Raleigh Jeep dealer either, I am having Meineke tow it back to the Cary Jeep dealer where I usually get my work done. The Cary dealer is going to keep me informed as to when my Jeep gets there and is going to do a detailed write up of what they find.
Aaaarggggh!!! So, I'm still in the rental.
