Have you thought about this?

The last time I priced an Outback it was over $30,000 and that was almost 10 years ago. Unless they have come down in price, an Outback is an awful lot of $$$$ for AWD. That cash buys a lot of gas. The trade in against the Lib when gas is $3.00 a gallon is going to be poor.

How about keep the Lib and buy a used Japanese/Korean econo box for around $4000? That is less of a bath than you would take trading for the Outback and you can drive the econobox to work and keep the Jeep for weekends/bad driving conditions.

I'm keeping the jeep. I've been liking it more lately. Now I want new shocks, tires, and a lift...................but, I want it all for free

I have been in several places and thought to my self "how am I going to get out of here?" But My KJ has always surprised me. I do have two 4x4 vehicles and rarely go wheeling without my wife driving the other one.

I have a friend with an Outback, and the places I go I would have had to drag him out with a strap. I love what it can do and mine is still stock... For now!
