Good videos, I don't see that internal noise would be a problem unless your trying to be stealthy doing something you shouldn't be doing. It sounds great outside and I'm going to be putting one on mine here soon. When you rev it up you can tell its a V6 but an "American" V6 not a japanese runing off saki and soy sauce.

Sounds like the Wood Pecker is the best deal going I bought a MagnaFlo right after driving off the lot. So I can't tell whether milage or performance improved with it. But I think the bottom line is if you like the way it sounds it doesn't matter what the brand is if the sound make you happy with your Jeep who cares what anybody else thinks. After all you pay the bills. 8)

where did u get ur muffler troy? ive heard that the chery bomb isnt that bad either and it 20 bucks.
Got my Thrush Turbo muffler at Advance Auto Parts.

cool man thanks. does it sound prety good? heck for 20 bucks if u mess it up on the trail you could just get another one and weld it on. no biggy. i plan to get one of the 2 when i have enough time to weld it on. by the way the cherry bomb is at auto zone and if anyone needs the part # i have it wrote down somewhere. tom is right heck u are really just paying for the name and if u (really) wheel ur Jeep why would u want to spend that much money on it and have to worry about trashing it on the trail. just my 2 cents. i have heard that the FM is prety strong though.

Hey man do you have the part number for the cherry bomb at autozobe...also what size do I need to get..I would also just like to clip it on if possible what parts do I need for that?

Thanks

Logan

The MagnaFlo has a nice throaty sound, But another LOST member went to the same place I got mine and he complained of it sounding like a Rice Burner Tuner, But then He went to their sister store and got a larger model. The best recommendation I can give is tell them what you desire in a muffler. By the way I wanna say the older it gets the richer the tone. Reminds me now of my brothers F-250 with a custom Exhaust nice rich powerful sound. I did feel bad when the gentleman wasn't pleased with the Muffler Shop I had reccomended. I haven't heard from him since he said he was going to the sister store for a larger model

Just to toss it out, take a look at the Aero Turbines (best price at parsley's diesel .com) I'll toss some of my vid's up tomorrow.
Once it's warm it's not too loud in cabin, the 44 seems like it is. Very Deep sound. It's quiet on cruising speeds however in the lower rpm ranges (ie 1500-1700) it does make some more noise.

That's what I'm installing on mine, the AERO. I have one on my Dodge Cummins and it helped increase fuel economy.

I didn't even weld it on,used exhaust clamps so if I crush it again it's a real easy fix.[/quote]

Did the same thing here but I used the Cherry Bomb Turbo II...same thing. Here is what it sounds like climbing a hill...

Thrush number looks to be 17715. You want center/offset (muffler is reversable) 2.5" dia.

http://www.thrushexhaust.com/pdf/thrush.pdf

Cherry Bomb Turbo II (again, same muffler) number is 16806

http://www.cherrybomb.com/products/turbo

I got my Turbo II from Autozone for $19.99

Nope, made by Cherry Bomb (parent company Maremont). If you look at cut-aways of each brands turbo muffler (even the outside) they are the same. Cherry Bomb actually offers the Turbo II in different sizes, too. I used the number I listed...the smallest size.
