The Dana 30 in the KK was redesigned versus the Dana 30 found in the KJ. It was changed from a below center pinion design to an above center pinion design (improves gear strength), and the housing itself was significantly strengthened.

Swapping the KK front axle into the KJ would take quite a bit of work due to the revised mounting scheme used in the KK. The cradle brackets are significantly different and the front drive shaft changes from CV/CV to Single Carden/CV.
