My bad, I wasn't sure what you were talking about... I worded it wrong in the begining. I meant it was alot of b'ing on how he should not do that. And I am just saying, they all did state some good facts, and opinions. Long story short, I think from what I got out of what I read(not all of it yet) is that he should be ok with that setup.
On a side note, I really did enjoy reading as much as I did, and wanted to thank who ever posted the link. sometimes I don't say things on how I mean them, I call it working double shifts. 14-15 hours at my job makes it hard to think right.

I believe the OP has made his judgment call about the excessive towing. So at this point we were discussing additional gear needed to properly tow under the safe limit of 5K pounds.

Just remember that trailer brakes will probably be required after 3,000 pounds and those ratings change state by state.
