Since the KJ is by far one of the most popular vehicles in the DC area and most of the people that drive them don't even know what wheeling is, I generally don't wave to another Jeep unless they're modded or covered with mud. I've yet to get a wave from another KJ (none of them are modded), but every modded Wrangler that drives by me waves and I wave back.

Everyone where i live who has a KJ is pretty much a soccer mom, or never goes off road... but i have found that the more mud i have on mine, the more waves i get from wranglers and XJ's.... With my lifted XJ, i had a safari rack and four kc lights, and that was enough to have everyone wave, looks like i have some work to do to make the KJ noticable

I was driving in Galesburg IL a couple of weeeks ago and met a built up TJ and he waved at me and I was shocked. Then a week later I got another TJ/YJ wave. I think the mods help but I think the Liberty is getting a little more respect.
