I think we have a winner! I like how it mounts directly to the rails. How tall is it?

The Defender rack that Daspes has(I had one also, very good rack, sold when I got the Gecko Basket rack) can be bought from 4 wheel parts. They are about $450,have 4 light tabs on the front,2 on the rear and is 4" deep. The best size for the KJ is the 4'x4'x4" rack, then go to Home Depot and get four 2.5" U-bolts to secure it on your OEM rails(the rack has the mounts setup for u-bolts).Do not buy the KJ mount kit,it's just four U-bolts and costs almost $30.

Below is a pic with the same rack mounted on my KJ.

Yep, good ole plentiful U bolts and thats it. Found mine on ebay for less than half of retail. Search CL too, deals are out there.

Whatever you get, if you replace the crossbars with flat stock, you will drop the whole thing 1/2" to an inch closer to the roof. (plus, flat stock and a couple u-bolts is a whole lot cheaper)! If you find a rack that sits inside the rails and sling the flat stock UNDER the rails, you can really reduce the height.

My rack using flat stock:

I am picking up the Rola basket, should have it in a few weeks. I just hope it fits on the inside roof rails. They say it is 37" on the inside of basket. The rear of the rails measured 39" inside. I will just squeeze it in.
