What is sad about it? Sure you can spend every other week changing oil and filters and go hundreds of thousands of miles but who wants (besides you) to do that when you can get the same results from superior products and spend more time driving than wrenching w/ no worries.

btw, There are plenty of very high mileage vehicles that did use Amsoil products including some OTR trucks running super long OCI's. Imagine the waste of product and time on vehicles that are run 300K+ miles by using 3K mile OCI's over the life of the vehicle. Even modern dino oils have tested to higher OCI's than 3K miles. It is old school thinking that keeps people hooked on that number and it isn't necessary if using good oil and filtration products.

Of course if it makes you feel good and all WTH right. I could care less what anyone uses or how often they change oil. I just get tired of all the dead horse beating about the same old subject and try to only engage when I read challenges or misinformation about the products.

Also, Amsoil sells the Wix filters for shorter OCI's or applications they don't cover. They know they are good filters but they do not state they are "up to par" w/ the Ea series filters. blah blah blah..... yada yada yada....
