both autozone and advance give the stuff away with purchase of a new set of plugs and it's usually enough to do 2 or more sets

at the most, they may charge 50 cents

but they're always giving me free stuff, towels, gloves, fuel injector cleaner, antiseize..

I know with Champion that there is already a thin coat of anti-seize on the plug. If you do use it, cover all the threads and then with a shop towel lightly wipe it back off to leave a thin coat. To much anti-seize can affect the heat transfer from the head to the plug.

Copper core plugs get gapped with regular gappers, platinum or iridium require a plastic or composite gappers.Any +2/+4 or e3 type plugs can not be gapped at all.

Send some FREE antiseize this way because I just bought some spark plugs and autozone charged my $1.19 for 1/2 oz and I didn't even ask for it!! The guy just said here is some antiseize to go along with your plugs and I thought SWEET FREE antiseize!! As I walk out the store I look at the reciept and I found he charged me for it!! The worst part is that the total came just under $20, and I didn't get any reward points!! :x

buy a jar of it. You will NEVER have to buy another one again.

you don't think that they will be already gapped correctly?

No, don't trust the gap out of the box, you have to get a spark plug gapper. DON'T forget the anti-seize.

I just bought a set of Bosch Platinum Plus and they were gapped correctly out of the box, but I know that because I checked each one. Most are properly gapped out of the box, but ultimately, you should verify the gap. It takes 3 seconds per plug. So why chance it?
