+1 with Tom.

You asked for opinion of good/bad idea then attack the nay sayers. You are wrong for doing that.

Next time, don't ask.

Opinions with a hint of 'smugness' is the irritating part, not so much the negative opinions. Everyone here is a great bunch of guys, it's why I like going on the forum so much. I just hate seeing so much condescending criticism.

I'm suspicious of these warranty programs too, just where are they based? within the USA or somewhere offshore.
Just how can they make money unless they only insure "new" vehicles just out of warranty?

What I'm concerned about is that someday the company will literally disappear with no forwarding address or when you need them they will argue the repairs required are not covered :x

My 04 Liberty had a five year extended service contract with Chrysler and it was great. It covered stuff I never thought it would. I was told from my dealership that they didn't care how much lift I put under my Libby but that the tires couldn't be too big (over 31"?).

I've heard of people with brand new JK's with the lifetime service contract that have been hassled by Chrysler for warranty service because the vehicles were taken offroad. Heck, that's one of the selling points of a Jeep

Jeep4me99......

Good luck with your purchase. You obviously do not care about the opinion of those on here unless it is what you want to hear. Regardless of the so-called smug but very informative responses.

As for your reply about my post, Image I'll keep that in mind the next time you ask for an opinion on here. Then I'll make sure you get my opinion.

Here's my good/bad idea response for your question: Bad idea. Why? Extremely high risk due to past history of the company and it's parent company. While this lawsuit covers other issues, you have to wonder how well they really honor anything. Grab an automotive repair manual and learn to do it yourself and save a lot of money. Put the money in the bank and save that for future repairs/parts.
http://news.prnewswire.com/DisplayReleaseContent.aspx?ACCT=ind_focus.story&STORY=/www/story/07-20-2009/0005062514&EDATE= They will probably say your vehicle is a total loss before they pay out a high cost repair near the end of the warranty/insurance. Zero deductible? You better read up on everything regarding that to make sure it doesn't jump up after each incident. You talk about someone had to try it first, well, many around this country have tried it and apparently, many have filed complaints. It is like that one front bumper maker that failed people on here. There is enough complaints and issues to warrant nobody sending their money to him and buy his bumper...until a newb comes along and decides that the complaints on here are not enough to deter them from sending the guy money in an attempt to buy his bumper.

I'm sure I wasted my opinion since you find me to give useless posts. Image
