Has anyone aired down to 15 psi for mud/sand offroading?

I haven't as yet to go that low but if you were fitted with this Crappo surely it wud be screaming by then.
Its either me picking lines or the truck but she just walks out of wot I have so far pointed at her.

I've only needed to go as low as 24 to ensure unstuckedness so far.

After new years day has passed - I plan to air right down to 15 psi.

Haven't had cause to air down that much......yet.

So I will do this & will let you know.

I note AIRING DOWN is one subject that has not been aired (pardon the punn) since I've been viewing this site.

You gotta do it so ya don't get stuck - huge aid to traction------yeah?

I might as well then air right down(with a support under the vehicle).
We will then know for sure if the Export 2006 Extreme Sport 2.8 CRD auto has the system enabled on it.
The ruddy nanny stuff from the US is incading much of the world in other bradns & peeing off others too, I believe.

Sorry guys I love my US manufactured kit - you know Porter Cable, Incra etc.....have lots but this nanny stuff is a nonsense.
UTTER UTTER HUMBUG.

If you chaps don't air down you can get your trucks to do one awful lot more if you do.
&
It doesn't appear to be mentioned for the newbies to 4wding or wheeling.
Maybe I am hijacking my own topic but I reckon its related.....closely.

Would love FEEDBACK cos this may warrant my POSTING in the 4x4 section on techniques.
Cheers.

Just encase anyone needs to know, you can purchase the tire pressure sensors for either a 2004 liberty or 2005+ liberty on tirerack.com. They have both kinds for very cheap. $120 for 4 sensors on the 2004 and $148 for 4 sensors on the 2005+.

Airing down was part of the reason I went ahead and got rid of mine. I was tired of worrying about getting them back t the right pressure. Now the alarm dings once upon startup, which I don't notice anymore, and now there is no need to worry about the pieces of crap anymore. So if you plan on airing down, plan on getting used to the stupid warning.

No sensors on mine! Had to go check to make sure. What's the problem with just having a simple tire gauge. Stupid nanny state.

Remember all the Explorer owners that drove around on low Firestone tires untill they exploded, the vehicle flipped and they were killed :?: They didn't own tire guages and wouldn't have know what to do with one if they did have one :-)r Everything now is geared to lowest mentality and is idiot proof. This will only work untill they invent a smarter idiot

You must be talking bout my MIL. :ROTFL:
She asked why I wud even bother with a pressure gauge & compressor....don't mechanics check your tyres?

I..I.....AAAAARGH! :banghead: :banghead:

Outlaws have never owned either a gauge or pump of any kind in hundreds of years of driving.
She didn't understand that every vehicle wife & I ever owned have had both in them at all times as a minimum.

I won't hold my breath for the smarter MIL, I mean Idiot, I mean.....oh CR%p. :dizzy:

Cheers
