It's way cheaper changing stuff in your driveway - than trying to find parts on the side of a highway in West Texas......

Wow. I've never found parts on the side of the highway (and believe you me, I've looked). I always had to order them online after my vehicle was towed back to my driveway. :ALONE:

Oh, and as for the topic, no replacement yet, I'm at 83+k miles. My plan is to change it before the summer.

Mine has started making some noises. Noticed it just this past Friday when walking in front of my Jeep while it was running. Put my hand on the pulling and I could feel the pulley jerking every now and then. Bearings must be getting ready to go.. Plan on checking it soon then buying a new one.. Currently sitting at 47k...

I learned a lesson on a water pump. Once you hear it actually making noise, I'd switch it out fast. Like... this weekend fast.

mine sounded like a super charger when i changed it

almost hated to hear it go kathunk in the trash can :P

fooled quite a few people, but it's hard to fool someone when your hoods up on the side of the road and you've got a belt that looks like horse hair
