Lots of difference in dropping say a big block GM in a Malibu and a Hemi in a KJ
Anyone doing it would have to build a new sub frame it and cut everything out of the front and start over
Easy to say I can do it, well I guess you could say that with 55 gallon drums of a certain slippery lube...........

I am just going to sit here and  and watch this post closely. Because i have seen quite alot of odd engine swaps i have seen 350 sbc in volkswagon bugs and Turbo 911 motor in a PT crusier and LS motor in a Rx7 (i know not so rare but awsome car). And countless odd motors in Sami's but a 4.7L in a KJ just can't see it. I mean yes with a lot of modifications to the sub frame or maybe just put the libby's body on a new tube frame. Hummm then you could have it almost anyway you wanted it transmission transfer case what ever even axles. There is and idea to :juggle: if you just can't see getting rid of the KJ.

Personally I would love to see a 4.7 in a KJ or any beefier motor in it. Perhaps the best option is to make a whole new sub frame. I look forward in watching this thread grow. If you can do it go for it.

What if you made it a dry sump... That would give you more space. Also helps on the cooling problem, run the oil through an aditional cooler.

Just my thoughts.

In my wilder days I build a couple BMW's series 3 with series 7 engines.
