Actually, I don't think he's joking. Something like 74% of KJ sales were to women prior to the diesel option being available.

True even my salemen tell me that before I buy the CRD! To be honest I buy the KJ because I need a small diesel to tow my camping trailer and getting the best mpg possible. Jump from a Buick rendez-vous to a KJ and you realize the lack of confort you get in the process, if you need a gasser Jeep get a Gran Cherokee hand down! Same tow power better confort, better resale value, about the same mpg.

My personal choice is the Commander it remember me the big Wagonner "golden eagle" I use to drive wen I work for a AMC dealer in the 80's , a real beast starving for gas (360cu/inch) but what a incridible ride she was!

Well...the idea of a diesel is really cool, but the gasser was MINT! It's a 65th Anniversary Edition and spotless. The diesel was pretty beat.

I got them to throw in the rock guard off the diesel too :)

You'll be very happy with the gasser. The key is to regear to 4:10's if you go with anything larger than a 30" tire.
