Jeepin'WNC....can you post pictures of your bumper? Currently trying to figure out a good look for my wifes KJ.

My wifes jeep has the reese hitch thats bolted upside down. It sits very sungly with the factory cut down bumper

Want something different and mounted higher
Cut 4 inches off the bottom of the rear bumper and then run a KK Mopar hitch, bolts right up . Raises the hitch up about 3.5-4 inches and looks way better IMO

And why do you consider a safety modification "caving"? Granted, it might have been necessary for everyone, but what does it harm?

Safety modification?? They caved into what a very few "thought" was an issue. Tons of other vehicles out there with gas tanks in similar mounting areas and they aren't recalling or needing to.
If there were a real issue I'd be behind it, but this one ....no
