your sunvisors extend.

Huh? I know they unclip and swing to the side to cover the side window, but what do you mean by "extend"? :?

Just unclip it and pull it sideways towards the middle of the Jeep. Sometimes the sun isn't exactly in front, so this helps.

Just read your manual, it will explane that there is a anti stalling device (kind of automatc clutch) to protect you from stalling your KJ when driving up steep SLOPES in 4lo, it will ballance your KJ without rolling backwarts and without stalling, it just sits there waiting for you to press the trottle and drive off.

There are more sectrets, JUST READ THE MANUAL!!!!!!!!

I actually looked in the manual this weekend while I was waiting for some of the guys to air down their tires. It's totally NOT in there. And I tried it out, it doesn't seem to work, it just keeps climbing upwards, and it does stall when it goes too slow.

Got a page number in the manual, or can you scan/photograph/photocopy it so we can see it?

Be careful with that half-pull. For me, it usually opens the door just enough to make it rattle and cause the EVIC to complain about it, but not enough to notice it before getting back in and driving away.

Here's an interesting thing too.

I had a flat a few nights ago and turned on the headlights to get some extra illumination. After about 15 minutes they automatically turned off. Plus the doors locked. Could have been embarrassing if the windows weren't down.

Yep - that happened to me too. Left the headlights on while washing the car - after about 10min or so the headlights go off but I can't remember if the doors locked. I had the keys in my pocket....

I know all the lights are automatic to prevent battery death. Even if you leave doors open, the lights will turn themselves off. Even if they turn themselves off, you physically turn them on again, they will still turn themselves off. I like that feature. There's just no WAY to accidentally kill a battery anymore.

As for the locking, I've done it before by something else in my pocket hitting the keys just right. I don't think there's any auto-lock feature, apart from the 15mph one.

My cup holders in the center console are made so you can open a water bottle with one hand. You just push your beverage gently downwards....release....then turn the cap off like you would if you were holding the bottle with one hand.

After looking closely at the cup holders...I noticed how it was molded....not only do they have four protrusions, but these protrusions also have slits in them that stop a bottle from turning when a turning force is applied to them.

So its like it was designed to do that.

Those crazy DC guys....always thinking!

I don't mean to sound like I'm demeaning anyone, but it just amazes me how people can spend so much money on something, but know so little about it. This thread is an excellent example of this. Personally I am very mechanically inclined and knowledgeable to a certain extent about many vehicles operation. The first thing I do when I get into a vehicle is "play around" so as to familiarize myself with all it's functions. My father-in-law has a 2001 Ford Escape that he's owned since new that we take to Canada every year (he doesn't like driving standard, so my Rene stays home  ). In the dash board on the left of the steering wheel is a little half-moon protrusion that is designed to hold loose change. After scrambling for change to pay at the toll roads and bridges, I asked him last year why he keeps his change in the ashtray. He was fascinated to learn that that was a change holder! He said he always wondered why that was there and what it was for! :P
