Yea it's just a KJ but it's my KJ. I really enjoy having a rig that not everybody has. I am looking at getting a YJ but it's more of a financial desision. I have big plans for mine as I would imagine some others would. Just something to think about.

Parakeet

Such a unique rig that even my wife drives one. You will never find a SAS kit under 5k. There is too much brackets, hardware, driveshaft, break lines, steering, steering box, track bar, etc. Not to mention its still a kj that will never be used in any hard core action like the hammers. Don't get me wrong, I love our KJ, but There is a limit on its capability, and thats where our rock crawler comes in.

Also, I know you guys really want a nth kit, but flooding the vote doesn't help. Even if they decided to make a kit there would still be those that will witch and moan at the price. Parts arn't free and you get what you pay for. Sorry for the rant but it all adds up and then comes out at once.

Let me clarifiy. I enjoy having a rig that not everybody wheels. I am one of 5 lifted KJ's in the KC area. And with the mods I have done and am going to do there isn't another soccor mom that drives one like mine. I don't know but in the last 2 years of wheeling my KJ, I have only seen 3 KJ's down on the trails where we go. To me that's a unique rig. But that's just me.

Same here, the only other modded KJs I see are at L.O.S.T. events. Even at Jeep Jamboree, there were only around 5 KJs out of the one hundred or so attending Jeeps.

I would be seriously interested in a 4.5-5" IFS lift. I have saved money for a new front bumper(ARB or custom) but have not bought one yet because there has been so much buzz lately about new lifts for the libby I was waiting until spring to see what might happen.

I would pay $2K for a IFS setup that would correct the front diff and give me 4.5" of lift.

Good Morning,

Even if they do pick the KJ, don't expect the lift for quite some time.

You had to see this outcome coming. The JK's are brand new. Easy to lift and a larger market for them. Lets face it. Its too hard and expensive to lift a kj more than 3 inches, or every company out there would have a bigger kit.

Here is a reply from them after I yelled at them for their decision.
-------------------------
Good Morning David,
It is our intention to listen to our customers, thus the reason for
the poll. Without your input we would not have even looked at the KJ for a
suspension and we are going to do something for your vehicle, it is simply
behind the XJ and JK. We (as you may have noticed) included several
vehicles, new and old, in our poll to make sure that our targets and
intentions are true to the market, some 'lost' individuals and yourself
helped open our eyes to a market that we were pretty much unaware of, and we
thank you for that. So I apologize if you misunderstood our companies
intentions and appreciate your desires to have a truly dual purpose vehicle
and hope that the system we offer for your vehicle helps sway your current
opinion.

Another reply to an email I sent:

Thank you for your continued concern on the order in which we decide to build product for different vehicles on the market. Our polls are not the only way we determine what vehicles are next to do products with. We go on many trail rides to see what people are actually driving; usually it is not a KJ, it’s a TJ, YJ, XJ or Toyota. We also listen to what our dealers want, they are currently asking for JK, XJ and Toyota systems, not KJ. Another way we figure out what to do is what is being shown and driven at events. When 50+% of the vehicles at events are Wranglers and less the 10% are KJ, there's another reason not to do anything for the KJ.

Our polls become very skewed quickly, especially when a club gets word of it and they rally everyone together to vote 10, 20 or even 1000 times each. We know this happens when we see post on boards like these:

"Whos got a few extra hours to go spam it?", desertkj

" meh why not....im watching a movie anyways....ill bring it to around 3k", EOD-KJ

" its cool watching it go from 2100 - 3000 in 20 minutes on my own ... and XJ not moving one vote

bwhaahha ", EOD-KJ

We are not knocking you all for doing this, I imagine if I was in the same position I would do the same thing.

If we do build Suspension Systems for the KJ directly from Nth Degree, it wont be just another 2.5-3” lift. There are too many small lifts on the market already, so we would only focus on 4.5-6”. With this kind of height we would change the front suspension completely to a solid axle. As you probably already know this is going to drive the price way up.

We are already in some early development stages of KJ lifts with All J Products. In the beginning of February Quinn will be working on the 2nd full conversion using 75% Nth product and direct Nth help. We were very happy with his first conversion, but this one should be even better. If everything goes to plan this system would be what Nth Degree and All J Products would be offering to KJ owners for large lift heights. A very rough price on a system like this is $4000.00-$6,000.00 in parts, plus tires, gears, lockers and labor (unless you tackle it yourself).

I hope that this answers your questions about what Nth is doing, we have not forgot about KJ’s we are just not going to do what everyone already has.

Events? If he came to our event it would be 90% KJ.

As you can see, driving the votes up and then telling people about it, isn't the smartest. It is there for EVERYONE to read.

A SFS? I won't be buying from them. Majority of people want the ~4" IFS, not SFS. Go ahead and build an SFS. Take a loss and make the idea of KJ products are a waste because of no sales.

A flaw in his decision making.

All of those other vehicles have or have had larger lifts for awhile so there will be more of them and fewer KJ's at off-road events.

If the KJ had a large lift, it is a guarantee that there will be more and more KJ's at events.

Also, we are still newer than XJ's and so forth so we have more still in the payment plan and afraid to mod it too much or don't have the money along with the monthly payments.

Here is our dilema. I mentioned it earlier in another topic...I think or it was this one.

If we shield ourselves too much from those other off-road snobs (YJ,TJ, XJ, CJ, JK, etc owners and not join those local clubs and attend national events, we will always be left behind and thought of as wimpy 4x4's. Yes, keep our LOST club, but get out there and mingle and change the mindset of the snobs. You can be members of more than one club. Just don't forget about LOST.

Remember, Bushwood Country Club was full of snobs until Al Czervik changed it and everyone fit in.

I dont get it.

They can make a 4" lift fot the WK and not do much to the front suspension. Drop the cradle and be happy. Everyone acts like a SFA is the only option.

Jeepin Al had no problems with his front diff running the tires he did on his lift.

Sweet :D Nth is the top end of Wrangler lifts; I just can't see them doing an IFS lift.

I agree with Tokyojoe, it's obvious that there are going to be more YJs and TJs off-road because they're older and have more aftermarket support. A hardcore off-roader isn't going to buy the KJ for the very reason that there aren't any serious lifts available for it. I also don't see many more XJs off-road than KJs.
