Well in Edmonton Canada I don't recall seeing a single 4x2 but then again why would someone own one up there? Hell is going to freeze over soon once again and I am looking forward to taking my toy through some snow banks!

I don't see any 4x2's here in SW PA. There's not much market for them here.

You guys should come to Dallas, TX, I would say 80% of the jeeps and other suv's are 2wd.

But fullsize trucks are about 50% 4wd for some reason.
Even though lots of them are lifted, they NEVER even see dirt roads. Freakin' posers

I see more 4x4 than 4x2 in central Illinois, but no idea how much more. When I was looking for a KJ on the lot I'd say about 30% were 4x2.

And there's one less 4x4 in Jax since I moved away a few months ago.
Greg, check your PM.

How about this...
I've had both
the original was our first kj - 2X4 grey color - basic
went for an oil change & drove out from the stealer with a spankin new 4X4 renegade
Day & night when compared -still a libby but the feel is absolutely different

I have yet to see a 2X4 up here. I'm not even sure that they sell them up here in Quebec.

ok, few things:

first off, the Liberty IS a station wagon, 4wd or not. MHO, it's a car, and it's a wagon, therefore a station wagon, just one that can go off road...like the old Eagle 4wd cars (they werent ONLY wagons, there were hatches, coupes, hatch sedans, sedans, etc)

second off...not EVERYBODY that has an SUV goes four wheelin... My mom bought a Toyota Sequoia because of the crap she has to haul around, and got a 4x2 because it's lower maintenance (since she doesn't NEED a 4x4, like we did in MI)

third off...who cares? the 4x4 and 4x2 are identical in all ways, just like the XJ, WJ, MJ, and all other 2wd jeeps compared to their 4wd counterparts...aside from the front driveshaft/axle, t-case, and the transmission has a shorter tailshaft, small differences. it'd take about one whole day of work to make a 4x2 liberty into a 4x4 liberty.

:D Can't be grass... Don't see too many 4x2s when I head east towards the Sierras (go figure  ) but I see plenty of them in the city. I even see lowered, yes I said it, LOWERED JEEPS! They are all "pimped" out or whatever the crap those people do with vehicles...Jeeps are not meant to be lowered, talk about a blasphemer!
