i've never replaced my silverstars either.. i had them in a VW jetta for 4 years.. and now my jeep for 1 1/2 and they've been nothing but oustanding.. i get highbeamed at least once every time i drive at night.. then again that might be because of the frankenlift.. it helped a lot with my headlights too (i know they should be aimed down.. but i live in the middle of no where and it helps to have them a bit higher)

It is actually recommend to change your bulbs every 12 to 18 months. I guess they say that the light eventually get's dimmer and dimmer do to a "aged" bulb. So if the bulbs are older then 2 yrs, put a new set in and you will notice the difference. I had piaa's in mine until one burnt out and then i replaced them with silverstars. I must say that I'm not really impressed with the new silverstars, seems like the old piaa's were brighter.

I think the op is seeing the same issue as my 06.. The lows are bright,, get flashed by oncoming cars all the time,, but the high beam on the 06 has a very strange pattern, its like looking out a low window.. The first 10 ft in front of the car is dark and then its bright till a certain point and cuts off sharp. I'm thinking it may be the lens assembly on the 06 specific. My 07 JK has low light for high beams but the pattern is sorta ok. I drive lots of other vehicles and never have I seen a headlight pattern like the 06 liberty.

This sounded reasonable to me, so today I installed PIAA extreme white bulbs in the headlights. They are definitely much brighter than 4 year old silverstars!

The store was out of the 9005s so I'll have to wait to do the foglights.

Hey 2006kj, nice pic, but even your signal lights look blazingly bright there!

with my factory headlights, I get people flashing me all the time to turn off the highbeams...and the highbeams aren't on!!! LOL Mine are positioned and work well as is...from fogs to highbeams...I dont even think I've used highbeams yet...then again, Im not offroad much. Still though, I can't imagine going to brighter bulbs...the people around me on the streets would be pissed since I'm already getting the highbeam flash with normal lights. too funny.

on a side note, those blue-white xenon bulbs are brighter than hell!! they are blinding when someone behind you has those on. I can't almost believe they are legal. I just couldn't justify driving around blinding cars in front of me all night long...especially people in front of our KJs riding in sedans...poor bastids. ;)
