I've just been tearing apart my Rain-X Latitudes. Looks like you can reuse the spring & just replace the rubber piece with a refill. Just remove one end cap & slide the old one out. Only 2 tabs hold the caps on, it's really easy to figure out.

I have a spare damaged Icon that I'll check on, but it's clearlymore complicated.

Any of you guys from Canada try the Reflex blades from Canadian Tire?? I remember seeing big hype on TV through last winter season about them, so figured I would check out their website. Mostly good reviews from customers, and only a few bad reviews. This item is exclusive to Canadian Tire, and from the reviews, a couple guys had some troubles, even a year into owing the blade, and just return them to the store for replacements. I must say from other purchases, Canadian Tire does stand behind their own private label and exclusive items. A lot of decent customer comments on them performing well in winter, and they don't seem to gather snow. Think I may check them out next time I am in the city. Any comments on this blade?? They also come in another Reflex model with Rain-X. Link below to their site....

OK.. about the ICONS...

they rock!

I just bought ONE to see it would work... after driving from OKC to Dallas in the rains this last week (200 miles and 3 hours) at 78mph... I can say they are well worth the $18!

My KJ has Reflex wipers on now, just put them on a few weeks ago. They are VERY good in rain and sleet, or when it's snowing. BUT in the morning when they are frozen they take a while to thaw out and slide flat. I usually have to get out and give them a couple of flaps against the windshield to get them unthawed. I'll definitely use them again for summer but next winter I'm going to try one of the other brands recommended in this thread.

That was my fear if I bought Reflex, was freezing in the winter. They never totally live up to what they claim on TV. They do look like a nice blade for summer and driving in rain on roads and highways. There has to be a better winter blade that won't fail. My current winter blades still freeze up and don't clean the window well in the colder weather.

Yep, Canadian tire also sells what they call a Teflon Winter Wiper blade. I used them for a couple years and they were great. I bought another set this year at the beginning of snowy weather, and they were TERRIBLE. Must have switched manufacturers or something. Maybe I just got a bad set. That's why I gambled on the Reflex wipers, which really aren't bad, just getting warmed up takes a few minutes. But there are better wipers out there for winter I'm sure.

For the guys that bought the ICONS, which did you get? Last time I was in the auto store I noticed they had both a "A" and "B" model.

i really want to get these new wipers, but my windshield has a crack in it and im not sure if that will hurt the blade or not. i dont want to spend 40 on wiper blades and have them not last long because the crack tears them up. i know i cant hardly feel the crack, but i didnt know if that little buit was enough to hurt them
