I am 6'4" 235lbs and I hate my seats, It is a sport so I am going to the junkyard to find some Limited ones I guess. 550miles on the Liberty and I hate it because of the seat.......Good thing that can be fixed, I hope.

As far as the "quality" of the seats in the '05 and newer Sports...I don't know what Jeep was thinking. Supposedly they are an "improvement" over the '04 and older seats according to the brochures. But my wife's '04 Sport seats were ten times more comfortable than these cheap *** seats in the new Libertys. There is hardly any padding at all in these things, the cushion is flat, there is no lumbar support, the fabric stains even with pure water, etc. The seats are the #1 complaint on the new KJ Sports...yet they continue to use them. I don't understand it...

Well.. My seats fit me pretty good in my Sport.. But I drove a YJ for 11 years before buying the KJ so I guess I think anything is comfortable.. LOL.. As for the stains.. Oh I agree.. My back seat is a disaster from my 5 year old... But I got this thing from my dealership where they will steam clean them for free for the next 5 years.. After that I am going to get some nice seat covers to protect the seats... I don't know what Jeep was thinking about the seats... Maybe they will improve on them for the 07 model and the 07 seats will fit the 05/06 models...

Hello folks,

Hate to bring up an old thread, but I am a new owner of two '05 CRDs one is a limited and the other a sport. I too agree they are both to tall especially the limited (electric leather, and sunroof), but the sport is better for me. Well I should mention that I am 6'6" and 340.

I would like to find a solution to the height issue. I hope that after many years that someone has come up with a fix or a set of brackets that will lower the seats. I am ok with leg room in the libby but need to lower the seats.

So did anyone come up with a solution?

I'm 6'2 with the same problem, I have my leather seats all the way down ad a good bit back, I hate being real close to the steering wheel, is it because of the power seat option or leather? My head sometimes hits the roof but not often...

5'10" and hate the seats. Too high...cant adjust correctly ever..my knees are either hitting something or i cant reach the pedals well. they have almost no support and are too short. They are made of a cheap fabric that stains easliy as we all know. If anyone knows of cheap replacemnts that easily swap in im interested. Worst feature on the vehicle

Swapped my sport seats to power leather, in the down position they feel the same. I now tilt my seat up in front, the rear is bottomed out and that has helped a lot. At 6'3" I still brush the liner around the sunroof. Better, but not perfect.
