MrMopar64 swayed me with his analysis of hot engine air in the CRD section. Count me in, depending on price/ looks. . .

Just fyi,

My KJ is booked for the 28/1 to have the Safari Snork fitted.

ARB Perth advise that the snork is hitting there stores end of next week.

In Aust the final cost to supply and fit is AUD$689.78 and in US$627.69 approx.

I'll post some pics as soon as it is done.

? What a terrible thing to realize. You know, out of the list of reasons as to why I have a KK, and not some other vehicle... one of those reasons was because it was different. It's not a KJ or XJ, as seen every 20 seconds on every single road. Nor is it a Patriot or Compass, as seen in every mall parking lot. And above all else, it is NOT a Wrangler. Yes, I wanted a Rubicon more than anything (hell I would've taken a used Sahara), but the KK was new and unique. Not as fat as the Commander, but who needs that much anyway? So here we are, us KK owners, with little to no hopes of an aftermarket life.

Welcome to the KJ's world circa 2001-2004, the early years. And there still isn't THAT much for the KJ in the aftermarket world. You may have to wait like we have been waiting or as you said, fab it yourself.

he actually got an airflow instead of the arb,

me personally would boycott the arb as because thier snork was like vapourwear , from 2002 to 2010

tony there is not too many other ways to design a snork but the airflow at least fot the KJ anyway

thats why i would buy the airflow over the Arb/ safari any day

they at least had the intestinal fortitude to make a snork for the KJ , thier xj snork is pretty good, they are making a snork for the v8 & crd grands and commanders

I'm hoping for a better finish look and overall better looking. I just think the other ones really look cheap. Sorry to anyone that has one but just my :2cents:

If ARBs look like them then I am out as well but holding out hope.

Snorkels are about like rock rails not too many ways to make them design wise but there are ways to make them look better overall if that makes sense.

Line-xing it might make it look a lil better,but I'm afraid it might cause too much drag.

saw a guy with a big diesel dodge that had one out of aluminum, had his name laser etched down the pipe, the piece ontop looked like a polished chrome steam cleaner attachment or something just bigger with a ovalish prefilter, the part at the fender looked like pretty heavy injection molded stuff

now i'm sure he paid a penny or two for it

but there's more than one way to skin a cat than the entire thing being made out of plastic

not knockin arb cause like you said they did make one

not knockin airflow either

but for 700 bucks i think i could probably make a stack from aluminum then modify it to fit with a cheeper models fender to airbox component
