How about putting a light on the back of the center console by the rear rear window controls or under the seats?

I was actually looking at that today, makes more since for me because with my sun roof i'm scared to cut the headliner

Use the window power wires for "on with ignition" or run a wire from your cigarette lighter/ power socket inside your center console for "always on".

IF you can get them from the stealership, they will rape you. Chances are you will have to order them. If you want to go to the junkyard (in the wintertime) you could get a wire out of a wreck. You can just make one out of radioshack components or some wire and crimp or solder on bullet connectors.
