The other day i was driving and noticed that my AC wasn't coming out of the directional vents. It still blows fine out of the defroster vents and the footwell but will not switch over to the directional vents on any setting. Has anyone else had this problem and was able to remidy it? Would i be better off taking a trip to the dealer for this? Its a 2003 Liberty freedom edition. |

That is all controlled by vacuum, so that means you have a vacuum leak. It defaults to the defrost position. |

I've checked all the vacuum hoses behind the HVAC control panel. They all seem to be on there just fine. I've noticed that i can hear the "leak" when my radio is off and the car is on. It seems to be coming from behind the HVAC panel. I have noticed that my temp control has become extremly hard to move as well as feels as if there is a grinding when it is moved. It does change the temp still. (AC to Heat). What would be the best places to search for a leak or a way of pinpointing where the leak is so i can fix it. |
