This morning my wife filled up the liberty and shortly after the "Malfuntion Indicator" light came on the dash. The manual says that if it stays lit and doesn't blink that it could be a loose gas cap or bad fuel and should go away after two or three run cycles. Double checked the gas cap and made sure it clicked several times. Has anybody else had this issue and did it go away like the manual states?

It may not go away after 3 starts. You can turn the key on and off 3 times to pull the codes and it will tell ya whats going on. Dont start it when doing this, just go to the on position. It will give you a 4 digit code and you can post it here to find out what it means.

The light went away after the third time driving it today. I didn't know how to pull the code so thanks for the tip jeepster. It will come in handy the next time I have an issue.
